To 'DYE' for
If you grew up in the 80's like us then you'll have definitely spent alot of your childhood in a variety of Tie Dye garms!
Whether it was a weekend craft project to keep you from annoying your parents or a way of hiding the Um Bongo stains on your 'not ready for the bin yet' white Tshirt; Tie-Dying was a staple part of our youth.
What better way to re-live our youth than creating a capsule Tie Dye collection right?
From mixing the dyes to knotting & tying each garment, we do everything by hand!
Each piece takes around 20 minutes to prepare then we get to the fun bit.
Applying the dye is always enjoyable, dipping, swirling & splattering all make for a unique design and there is no wrong way to do it! Half of the excitement is seeing each piece turn out so differently.
Once the dye has cured its time to see the patterns unfold.
First a cold rinse to remove excess dye and then a 30 degree wash to remove any additional dye & ensure colour fastness.
Then its time to dry & start printing!
